Edmonton 5 pin bowlers' association

Why 5 Pin?

It’s fun — 5 pin bowling is a great way to get active and socialize with friends at the same time. Fun leagues exist for ladies, men, mixed and youth teams at all ability levels. There are also a number of tournaments that provide competition at all levels of play.

It’s inexpensive — compared to many competitive sports, or even a night out at the movies with popcorn and pop, bowling is a low-cost way to get out and have fun.

It’s for everyone — almost everyone can bowl 5 pin, regardless of age or physical or mental disability. Did you know:

– 5 pin bowlers in Edmonton range in age from three to 100 years old?

– Blind bowlers’ leagues existed in Western Canada in the 1930s?

– A number of local centres host Special Olympics programs?
